The grill has cast iron top and bottom plates to efficiently press sandwiches, and its hinges provide uniform pressure to food products as thick as 3 inches. Maintaining a set temperature between 175 and 450 degrees Fahrenheit, the Star GX14IS panini press has embedded elements to ensure quick recovery and consistent heat distribution. Around the bottom plate's sides, a splash guard keeps grease and debris contained, and grease runs into a trough, which is removable to facilitate cleaning.
